Amor Group will unveil its Chroma Airport Suite Airport Collaboration Database (ACDB) for the first time at the Passenger Terminal Expo (PTE) 2012 at the Messe Wien Exhibition and Congress Center in Vienna on 18-20 April 2012.

The ACDB, which puts passenger data and stakeholder collaboration at the heart of airside and terminal operations, is the first of its type in the sector and includes a major technology breakthrough with the introduction of consolidated Bluetooth and WiFi passenger tracking.

The new ChromaACDB system delivers real-time data around the entire passenger process using sensory network that combines Bluetooth and WiFi (BluFi) tracking by BlipTrack and Thermal Image tracking from Irysis. The system consolidates data from multiple sources, providing a single source of truth for key operational metrics and enabling collaborative decision making within terminal operations.

According to Amor Group, BluFi is more accurate that standalone Bluetooth as it increases sample size to further refine and validate queue, wait and dwell time. In recent operational tests conducted by Amor and BLIP Systems, it is estimated the 15% sample rate of standalone Bluetooth will be increased to track up to 50% of passengers.

The company will also be showcasing its ChromaCDM at PTE 2012 – a fully Eurocontrol compliant Collaboartive Decision Making tool that integrates into existing Chroma Airport Oprational Database (AODB) systems to provide a single vision of all aircraft operations available to all key stakeholders in the operation.

Martin Bowman, Sector Director – Transport for Amor Group, said, “This is about moving from a co-operative approach where different areas of the airport, security, baggage handling and retail for example, simply exist alongside each other, to a real collaborative approach where it is possible to get a complete view of all operations in the airport and really work together for the benefit of passenger experience.

“The concept of ChromaACDB is unique in the industry but it is one that is being quickly embraced around the world. The ACDB puts the passenger at the heart of airport processes and enables operators to establish and monitor service levels to drive an increase in performance across the airport.

“Chroma is the world’s only fully integrated set of airport operational management tools, delivering a common technology platform that establishes a commitment to airport-wide collaboration and integration. With the addition of a number of world firsts such as the ACDB and ‘BluFi’ we are continuing to challenge the existing technology paradigms inherent in the sector to deliver real innovation and progress.”

ChromaACDB and other Amor Group services will be on show on stand 5000 throughout the Expo.
