Goodbye 2020
Welcome 2021

Welcome to our December Newsletter. What a unique year 2020 has been! Who could have predicted a 64.2% decline of global passenger traffic compared to the pre-COVID-19 forecast for the year?

AiQ is certainly looking forward to a more positive 2021 with optimistic signs for airports and airlines. Whilst it has been a tough year for all, AiQ is an agile business, adapting and responding quickly to the changing needs of the airport sector. We are delighted to have developed an Airport Recovery Tool, an Airport Planning Service and identified efficiency saving opportunities for airports survival and recovery.

We would like to express our sincere thanks for the contracts we have worked on this year, the exciting opportunities for next year, and the immense support we have received from our network and our amazing team.

Season Greetings to you all and Best Wishes for a Successful 2021.

A clear vision of ATM, Passenger & Cargo activity for UK Airports

For UK Airports to flexibly plan their operations to the changeable demand, they need to understand how the activity is changing. Each month, AiQ visually represents Civil Aviation Authority monthly statistics to aid airports operational planning.

Reducing carbon emissions
by modelling GSE vehicle replacement to electric

AiQ undertook a sustainability study for Heathrow Airport, supporting their net zero-carbon targets by mid-2030s.

We analysed, measured, and modelled the environmental carbon savings of converting to electric GSE vehicles, determining the power and electric charging points requirements at all terminals.

Quick ‘above wing’ efficiency saving opportunities for airports survival
Airports are operating in a very different environment to that of high growth. Income is scarce and fixed overheads continue to run, squeezing profits. By rethinking, re-engineering and being more commercially aware, cost-saving efficiency opportunities will be found.
A fast, simple and pragmatic
Airport Recovery Tool ARTΔ

AiQ has developed a new Airport Recovery Tool to provide managers with vital information to make complex decisions in managing changeable daily resource requirements.
Within 2-5 minutes, ARTΔ models the resources you need to efficiently run 14 key processes from kerbside to stand covering arrivals, departures and transfers.
