RESQTEC Update 2023 and Aircraft Recovery Statistics 2022

Hello 2023!

Happy New Year 2023 from RESQTEC! We are excited for the new year as we continue to provide our top-quality aircraft recovery products and also our specialized training courses to all of our clients! We hope that this year will be an even better year for everyone in the aviation industry!

2022 In A Nutshell

In 2022 we saw the recovery of the aviation industry in most countries around the world after the COVID19 pandemic. This could be seen back in the number of incidents with disabled aircraft. RESQTEC registered 143 incidents with disabled aircraft in 2022 across the world, almost 3 incidents per week. This is an 19% increase compared to 2021 and only 12 incidents less compared to the all-time high in 2019. The average closure time of a runway and/or airport after an incident was in 2022 was 17 hours, which shows that airports and airlines are poorly prepared for quick and efficient aircraft recovery operations.

At RESQTEC we were happy to welcome many new partners to the RESQTEC family, including Adani and Mumbai International Airport, Rwanda Airports Company, Airbus and Air Baltic, amongst many others.

In 2022 RESQTEC also launched its RESQTEC Aircraft Recovery Diploma. Based on years of experience and strong demand from the market, RESQTEC developed a comprehensive disabled aircraft recovery training program that combines both practical and management training. This program prepares aviation professionals for execute a safe and (time) efficient disabled aircraft recovery operation. We are proud that in 2022 over 300 aviation professionals from across the world participated in one of our 29 training courses!
