RJD ENGINEERING CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE!

 

RJD Engineering was founded in 1969 providing innovative solutions to designing, manufacturing and installing of structural steel work.

Acquired by Robson Handling Technology in 1984 by the late Jim Robson, who saw RJD Engineering as a complimentary business for their manufacturing requirements of conveying system projects.

Over the past 50 years, RJD Engineering has grown into a leading structural steel work and heavy fabricator within a multitude of industries including silos and large plant fabrications in the glass and food industries, steel work and airports.
In addition,  the  South Yorkshire  company  has  continued  to successfully  diversify  the business  into  high quality oil and gas, and offshore (including sub-sea), construction projects and bridge manufacturer sectors.

In 2005 RJD Engineering became the first company in the UK to achieve the prestigious BS3834-2 Quality requirements for fusion welding, complimented today with certification for BS EN 1090-2 (up to Exc 3) and ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system.
With over 40 employees and 4,400m2 of workshop capacity, craneage up to 70 tonnes and a dedicated machine shop the business remains focused on its core business of heavy engineering and fabrications.
