Last month ERA (a member of OMNIPOL group) took part in Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) exercise EW LIVE 2026 in Tartu, Estonia, the one-of-a-kind event dedicated to EW community. ERA team presented the comprehensive solution ”ERA SHIELD” including its unique and even combat proven passive surveillance sensors and several novelties. As a highlight ERA has launched its new product EW-DEC (Electromagnetic Warfare Radar Decoy) for deception of adversary.
Within official launch ceremony of EW-DEC product ERA team welcomed H. E. Zdenek Beranek, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Estonia, who has become a godfather of the newborn. The decoy EW-DEC was exhibited in situ and dragged attention of incoming visitors to ERA exhibition spot. ERA experts explained them that EW-DEC serves as a configurable decoy emitting radar signals that resemble the behaviour of real devices for deception in EW domain, attracting an adversary and thus protecting one’s assets.
Apart of introducing the appraised novelty ERA team worked tirelessly to explain complex “ERA Shield” solutions to dozens of foreign delegations. And not only explain, show the results of the surveillance and reconnaissance systems live and in real time. ERA presented its proven passive sensors PET VERA-NG and Over the Horizon system PLESS and related information systems: data mining tool for management of ESM databases EW-EDMT and ESM/ELINT simulator for training called EW-SIM.
The visitors of an improvised Life Demo studio at the Tartu airfield have been also curious about other newcomers to ERA portfolio in R&D progress: EW-BOX for automated RAW/IQ data processing and Theosight OSINT analysis tool introduced by ERA subsidiary EOS Applications.
EW Live has been built around seeing capabilities in action, bringing the right people together and creating an environment where real cooperation can begin. In 2,5 days’ time frame it offered 540 demos for participants from 35 countries.
