Billund Airport as west Denmark’s international airport, opened in 1964 in an old hangar with a single control tower and a 1660-metre asphalt runway.

Since then the airport has experienced remarkable growth. The airport has continuously expanded from having only two domestic departures a day, to sending its passengers to destinations all over the world. Billund Airport has 40 direct flights, 50 charter destinations and more than 500 destinations within reach, utilizing only one transfer stop.

Billund Airport has ordered 6 units with options of another 4 units of Self-service bag drop by DSG Systems. This contract strengthens DSG`s position in Northern Europe and confirms DSG’s commitment of being a major supplier to the airport industry.
