Software and Tools for Dangerous Goods Management / Hazardous Material

Company DGM Software Development Group A/S
Date 27.04.2015

On the transport side the Rail and Inland Waterway modules have been added. Rail is based on the European RID regulation and Inland Waterway is based on ADN.

Besides the regulatory data like the dangerous goods list, the packing instructions, variations and provisions which allow you to manage your shipments via Rail and Inland Waterways, the ‘piggyback’ option for Rail is included while for Inland Waterways table C, which is dedicated to transport in tank vessels, is added. For both modules connections to the Multimodal options on Road and Sea transport are provided for.

The SDS modules are extended with the new Calculation module and the Recipe and Premix functionalities.

Recipes are collections of substances and/or premixes, constituting a finished product, which can be transferred to a data sheet. Recipes are primarily used to calculate an overall CLP for an SDS.

Premixes are collections of one or more substances and/or premixes with additional information. Where a recipe is bound to the SDS, premixes can act like a ‘new attached SDS’ allowing re-use of the same collection of substances/premixes over many recipes.

With the new SDS CLP Calculation Module you are able to make automatic CLP calculations based on the data you entered in the Recipe Module. It uses the percentage of each component in the recipe, together with the entered threshold values, physical state and other characteristics of each substance, to determine the calculated classification of the total mixture of components in the product. Besides CLP, the module is able to calculate VOC.

DGM Software Development Group will be exhibiting on Transport Logistic held from 05 – 08 May 2015 in Munich. Our booth is located in Hall B4, booth 134.
