Date 09.07.2013

Simtra AeroTech AB, developers of software solutions for transportation and aviation planners, designers, engineers and architects, Sofoco Pty Ltd. and CAD Concepts Ltd. are pleased to announce a change in local sales and support arrangements for PathPlanner R4 in the Australian market.

Effective immediately, Simtra's vehicle turn and swept path analysis solution PathPlanner R4 will now be sold and supported in both Australia and New Zealand by CAD Concepts, based in Auckland. CAD Concepts specialises in training and CAD management consulting on the BricsCAD, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Inventor platforms and has represented Simtra in the New Zealand market since early 2011.

Jason Bourhill, Director at CAD Concepts, believes representing PathPlanner R4 in Australia fits in well with the company’s strategy. “We regularly hold CAD training courses in Australia and are looking to increase our presence within the market on the whole. Representing a well-known solution such as PathPlanner R4 is of course a great way for us to do this.”

Sofoco Director Damian Harkin stressed that the responsibility for marketing PathPlanner R4 in Australia has been passed over to CAD Concepts to allow Sofoco to focus on its role as the official representative of BricsCAD in Australia. "We need our clients to know that Sofoco's focus is BricsCAD. As such, we must be even-handed in promoting the 300-odd add-on applications now available for BricsCAD.”

Simtra welcomes the opportunity to work more closely with CAD Concepts and is confident PathPlanner R4 usage will continue to increase strongly under its new representatives.
