Simtra AeroTech, developers of software solutions for aviation and transportation planners, designers, engineers and architects, is pleased to announce the release of Obstacle Surface Planner™ 1.30. 

In addition to compatibility with Autodesk®'s AutoCAD® 2015 series of products, version 1.30 sees the inclusion of regulations defined in the United States of America's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circular 150/5300-18B. Along with detailing the characteristics of airspace surfaces, this revised regulatory framework also includes a set of guidelines specifying specifically how obstacle surfaces are to be organized when working in an computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) environment. Functionality to ensure compliance with these guidelines is also included within Obstacle Surface Planner 1.30. 

The update also offers improved terrain model handling as well as a refined algorithm to ensure that Obstacle Limitation/Clearance Surfaces (OLS/OCS) are generated in a timely manner.
