Company SIMTRA
Date 31.01.2012

Simtra, a leading developer of software solutions for aviation and transportation planners, designers, engineers and architects, and Suzhou Gstarsoft, the company behind GstarCAD, announced today that all PathPlanner software from Simtra is now compatible with GstarCAD 2011 and later. Until today, the software had been available for AutoCAD®, MicroStation® and Bricscad™.

Developed by Simtra, PathPlanner A5 is the leading CAD based software for airport airside planning, design and operations. Operational issues such as complex push-back procedures can be simulated on-the-fly, providing valuable input to airlines and the airports’ operational staff. Detailed gate designs that previously took days are now performed in under an hour and with significantly reduced risk of human error. PathPlanner A5’s unique technology and functionality combine to make it the number one choice for airport planners, architects and engineers worldwide.

PathPlanner R4 is Simtra’s easy-to use yet technically advanced vehicle turn and swept path analysis tool. The software can be used to accurately simulate vehicle turns and swept path maneuvers in a multitude of scenarios such as intersections, roundabouts, narrow streets, parking facilities, loading bays and more. The software includes an extensive vehicle library of standard designs from Europe, North America and Australasia, and is available in English, French and German. Gone are the days of using manual turning templates, PathPlanner R4 can do the work in a matter of minutes!

“Over the last few years we have seen the presence of alternative CAD platform steadily increasing; GstarCAD is one of those brands which has caught our attention” said Mr. Ben van Leest, Managing Director at Simtra. “We are happy to be able to offer compatibility with GstarCAD and look forward to seeing an increasing demand from our customers to have GstarCAD as their platform for our software.”
