Maven Asset Management has been appointed by SCHAD as its latest integration partner for the Americas region. As a specialist EAM (enterprise asset management) solution provider for the airport sector, Maven will support SCHAD with implementations of EXTEND7000, SCHAD’s unique mobile SCADA and maintenance solution for asset management, throughout the US.

In particular, Maven will be integrating EXTEND7000 for existing IBM Maximo users looking for a seamless bridge between their EAM and SCADA systems, using mobile devices. The company has already implemented IBM Maximo at eight US airports and intends to offer EXTEND7000 to EAM clients for monitoring and control of any asset – from jet-bridge and jet-way maintenance to escalators and airfield inspections. In addition, Maven has speciality consulting experience in preventive and predictive maintenance, as well as Maximo system realignment, rescue, and re-implementation.

As a mobile EAM solution, EXTEND7000 is particularly applicable to the US airport operations industry because the FAA (Federal Aviation Authority) requires all airports to complete daily maintenance inspections and Maximo integrated with SCADA helps to achieve this with immediate corrective action. Maven will also be marketing EXTEND7000 to the water and waste treatment industry, where automating distributed processes allows a plant operator to focus on other tasks, making a solution that combines the benefits of EAM and SCADA on a mobile device very practical.

According to a recent product review completed by Maven, EXTEND7000 is unique amongst mobile maintenance applications because it allows companies to make better use of Maximo through real-time integration with SCADA. To help raise awareness of the opportunity presented by EXTEND7000 to improve reactive maintenance service levels, Maven will be launching a new Maximo User Group specifically aimed at SCADA users. The aim of the group will be to help SCADA users understand the potential they have to enhance the accuracy of Maximo data by integrating SCADA with ongoing maintenance activities.
