COMSOFT's aeronautical communication nodes successfully connect India and Singapore via AMHS/ATN.

With a ceremonial inauguration under the personal presence of the Chairman of Airports Authority of India, Mr. V. P. Agrawal, AAI commissioned their AMHS system at Mumbai Airport and at the same time India's first operational AMHS link to Singapore.

With this momentous step AAI joins the steadily growing number of Asia-Pacific air navigation service providers using an AMHS/ATN system of COMSOFT's leading brand AIDA-NG in full operation.

The operational cut-over of India’s central aeronautical AMHS hub in Mumbai is a further major milestone towards the implementation of AMHS/ATN technology in the
Asia-Pacific region. India runs one of the largest communication nodes in the region and will be the designated Aeronautical Telecommunication Network (ATN) backbone centre in the Asia-Pacific region to provide ATN services to the Middle East and African- Indian ocean regions.

AAI had selected COMSOFT’s renowned, market-leading multi-purpose gateway AIDA-NG as their national AMHS switch, trusted by numerous ANSPs all over the world.

AAI and COMSOFT worked closely on system design as well as on the preparation and execution of the comprehensive test suites. The new AMHS COMSOFT’s AIDA Server & Distribution Cabinet for AAI system has become operational after a thoroughly prepared transition period and in-depth interoperability testing with neighbouring countries.

In the near future, AAI plans to establish further AMHS links to adjacent countries, e. g. to Oman and Pakistan. The ANSPs of these countries operate AMHS systems of the same brand which will guarantee a seamless transition to AMHS for these connections as well.

COMSOFT GmbH was established in 1979 and has been active in the ATC domain for over 20 years. The company enjoys a worldwide reputation in this market.
