Reliable and cost efficient systems
Previously TORP Sandefjord got their systems through Norwegian state-owned airport operator, Avinor. When Avinor decided to change provider it was replaced by costly systems that were not suitable for TORP Sandefjord Airport. When looking for a new provider, three different offers where considered to make an informed decision. PDC suggested a simple solution and a reliable system that was close to what they had before but at the same time cost efficient for an airport with 62 monitors to inform 2.2 M PAX per year. |
TORP Sandefjord Airport has been a PDC customer since January 2015 when TORP Sandefjord acquired the PDC AODB and PDC FIDS systems. TORP Sandefjord already collaborated with PDC and the existing relationship made PDC an evident option. The already established trust, the robustness of the systems and the good and unproblematic connection were the basis for choosing PDC as their provider. |

PDC FIDS is designed for multiuser environments of all operating aspects. It is a fully flexible display setup with extremely low latency for updates and the possibility for an advanced surveillance solution. Both systems were implemented in 2015 and has never been down as a result of system failure in the 5 years it has been running. |
The key benefits for TORP Sandefjord TORP Sandefjord has complete confidence in the systems to support their everyday planning. They recognize that they forget just how dependent on the planning they are, as the system always works. The process is reliable, efficient and unproblematic. The system helps them plan their resources and provides the necessary data in order to run a successful airport. “A stable and fast system, that provides quality data. The cooperation with PDC has been good and very unproblematic. Eivind Nielsen, ICT-consultant |
