The main purpose of the ACC team at Tern Systems is to provide service to the Reykjavík Area Control Center (Reykjavik ACC). This includes support and development for some of the main ATC systems that the Reykjavik ACC uses in its daily operation.
Among these systems are systems such as the Isavia Integrated Situation Display System (ISDS) and the Isavia Integrated Controller Environment system (ICE) and Tern Systems is currently implementing the Eurocontrol Cat 062 ASTERIX standard for these systems.
These systems (the ISDS and the ICE) need to be compatible for the Eurocontrol ASTERIX standards CAT 062 in order to be able to process data from the newly acquired ARTAS tracker, which will replace the current tracker system “Radar Data Processing System” (RDPS), and to be able to process data from the ADS-B system.
