TK Elevator wins Dubai Airports Health & Safety Awards 2025 in the Contractor Safety Excellence and Safe Leader categories

TK Elevator (TKE), a global leader in vertical transportation and urban mobility, has been awarded prestigious Health & Safety Awards 2025 including the Contractor Safety Excellence by Dubai Airports. The recognition positions the company in safety excellence among all contractors operating at Dubai International Airport (DXB).

DXB is the world’s busiest airport by international passenger traffic, serving as a critical hub for global connectivity and urbanization. The airport handled over 92.3 million passengers in 2024, connecting more than 279 destinations across six continents¹. TKE operates and maintains passenger boarding bridges (PBBs) and related airport systems that are critical to managing DXB’s immense passenger throughput safely and efficiently. Serving as the key interface between aircraft and terminal, PBBs perform thousands of docking operations daily and play a fundamental role in enabling seamless, secure, and energy-conscious passenger flows. At Dubai International Airport, the company has introduced innovative safety measures, including heat stress prevention protocols, specialized personal protective equipment (PPE) programs, and enhanced Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) systems. In total, 35 contractors submitted more than 200 entries across six award categories. TKE participated in three categories and was recognized in all three: Contractor Safety Excellence Award (Winner), Safe Leader Award (Winner) and Safe Supervisor Award (Runner-up).
