The Ministry of Defence has ordered 170 solar LED taxiway lights with frangible mounting systems from Systems Interface Ltd.  The MOD will install the Avlite Systems AV70 series solar taxiway lights at the main British defence base in Afghanistan – the 5th busiest UK operated airport in the world with the airfield handling C-17s; C-130 transport aircraft; Apache and Chinook helicopters.
