AirTOP 2026 is designed for airport and airspace planners and operators who need efficient tools for modeling and optimizing terminal facilities, airfield operations, and airspace procedures.

This latest version includes a range of new features and enhanced capabilities that strengthen accuracy, improve workflow efficiency, and support more robust operational insights.

The Runway Capacity Module

A key update in this release is the renaming of the Runway Capacity Analyzer module to simply Runway Capacity. This provides a clearer and more direct description of what the module is capable of.

Compatibility updates and feature enhancements

This 2026 version now operates exclusively on Java 21, improving performance, security compliance, and long-term platform stability.

A new Airside Aircraft module feature allows users to automatically detect and log aircraft stand-off durations with the default reports when aircraft stop at or queue near a stand-off position. With delays visualized separately from taxi and runway delays, users now get clearer insight into apron congestion to more efficiently plan and analyze performance.

Several updates to the AirTOP Terminal module improve accuracy and efficiency in passenger process modeling;

• The schedule importer now includes optional duration window controls and support for TerminalProcessorScheduleRule, ensuring schedules are assigned within valid time ranges, improving reliability for airlines without callsigns.

• QueuePath reports now include a MaxQueueingLength metric, giving a clearer and more accurate view of actual queue lengths for congestion and passenger flow analysis.
• Passenger travel times can now be set directly on the AircraftDoor, simplifying and improving simulation accuracy for remote stands and bus transfers.

• MapData layers (SHP/RST) are now visible in the 3D View and aligned to the correct FloorLevel, improving spatial clarity and accelerating layout validation.

AirTOP 2026 also introduces several new and improved features across the TMA/TRACON module, enhancing modeling accuracy and expanding analytical capabilities.
