Following the recent addition of two new contracts to their customer base, with Air Canada and EVA Air, the Menzies Aviation team at Brisbane airport (BNE) are celebrating a successful 2016 so far.

In June, Air Canada began a new daily route with B787 direct services between Vancouver and Brisbane and awarded Menzies Aviation the passenger, ramp and cargo handling contract. Air Canada deemed the start-up as a tremendous success with a seamless introduction to the airport.

In addition, the team will begin passenger and ramp services for EVA Air on 5th October later this year. EVA Air will operate 5 weekly A330-300 aircraft services between Taipei and Brisbane.

Lloyd Thomson, VP QLD & NT, said: “These two new airlines complement the large base of customers already serviced by our team in Brisbane and are a reflection of the tremendous service that our staff provide, as well as our reputation in the industry as a safe and reliable ground handling partner.

“We are recognised by the airlines and the airport community as ‘the handling agent of choice’ due to the amazing team that we have in Brisbane who continue to deliver consistently great results for our airline customers. We currently provide services to over 70 percent of airlines flying to Brisbane in a very competitive ground handling market.”
