Volacom’s Bird Collision Avoidance System (BCAS) Granted a Patent in the Russian Federation!

We are proud and delighted to share that after more than 4 years of consideration, the Director of the Federal Intellectual Property Agency of the Russian Federation granted BCAS, Volacom’s innovative advanced bird control technology, Patent for Invention No. 2615470, in force as of 22 Oct 2012.

The patent protects the unique technology behind BCAS and its intended application at airport runways and on wind turbine generators in wind farms. Being granted a patent in the biggest country in the world is another proof of the innovative and unique nature of BCAS and the technology behind it, as well as the fact that no such other technology has yet been invented in the Russian Federation.
