Volacom’s Bird Collision Avoidance System (BCAS) Granted a US Patent!

We are proud and delighted to share that after more than 1 year of consideration, the Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office granted BCAS, Volacom’s innovative advanced bird control technology, US patent No. 8,598,998 B2, dated Dec 3, 2013.

The patent protects the unique technology behind BCAS and its intended application at airport runways and on wind turbine generators in wind farms. Being granted a US patent is another proof of the innovative and unique nature of BCAS and the technology behind it, as well as the fact that no such other technology has yet been invented in the USA.
