Abu Dhabi Airports’ Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies Wins Prestigious ICAO Award for Training

The Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies (GCAS), the training arm of Abu Dhabi Airports based in Al Bateen Executive Airport, has been recognised by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) for delivering the most shared and validated TRAINAIR PLUS Standardized Training Packages (STPs) than any other ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS center worldwide.

The award was presented by Raymond Benjamin, ICAO Secretary General, during the ICAO Global Aviation Training & TRAINAIR PLUS Symposium which preceded the 5th ICAO TRAINAIR Plus Steering Committee (TPSC) meeting held in Dublin. The TPSC meeting was chaired by Dr. Othman Al Khoori, Chief Human Resources Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, to discuss the status of the program as well as its strategic direction worldwide.
