Zoeftig - Domodedovo International Airport - From Russia with comfort

As one of Europe’s fastest growing gateways that handles over 30 million passengers, Russia’s Domodedovo International Airport called for a seating provider that could meet ongoing requirements and easily support their continued expansion.

Requiring bespoke power solutions and exceptional comfort to facilitate their increasing passenger traffic, Zoeftig was the airport’s first choice to provide a first class standard, supplying seating solutions in both 2012 and 2016.

Zoeftig delivered 1,000 of its Zenky seating range, with highback in Blue Nile PVC upholstery earlier this year, building on the existing 1,400 that they previously installed in 2012.

Both installations were supplied as part of the airport’s current development of their Second Terminal, specifically requesting the inclusion of the innovative Zenky PowerArm, which offers built-in power through a range of international socket types and twin USB ports. The leading technology has helped the airport to meet the increasing power needs of their expanding terminal with ease.

The additional 235,000m2 added to the terminal will be completed in time for the 2018 FIFA World Cup to support increased traffic handling when managing the expected 600,000 visitors that will be attending the games throughout the duration of the tournament.

Uniquely developed with a module specifically for this project, the Zenky range was installed with a power arm supplied to end position to provide high power solutions for passengers on the move.
