• Airport Vehicle Bollards

  This truly unique, flexible but rigid bollard is designed to outwardly look like a standard bollard, however when a force is applied to it special compounds in the polyurethane will deform allowing the bollard to bend up to 90 degrees. In fact the whole bollard can be run over and will self right in a matter of seconds. All this with little or no damage to itself and minimal or no damage to vehicles.

  Flexi-boll is also available as an illuminated bollard with all of the above properties remaining intact along with an option for solar power in lieu of mains electricity. This makes the product ideal for remote roads and utilities allowing the use of energy saving carbon credits.

  The Flexi-Boll range is offered with traditional or contemporary styling and a wide choice of colours with a base material of the same colour meaning minimal or no maintenance is required. This product is ideal for areas where vehicles come into contact with bollards marked for demarcation of traffic and either obstacles or pedestrians.

  For extra security (such as outside shop fronts) a steel core filled with concrete can be added giving ram raid resistance to sensitive areas whilst retaining the material properties of the standard more flexible bollard elsewhere on your development. • Airport Litter Bins

  CIS offers a wide range of litter bins in a variety of materials including cast iron, steel, stainless steel and plastic.

  The range consists of square, circular, wall & post mounted, dog waste and a new on street recycling centre in both cast iron and stainless steel.

  For certain high security areas such as airports or shopping centres we can offer a bomb resistant liner to our cast iron bins.

  There are options available for our bins including ashtrays, stubbing plates, customised logos and text, all painted to a choice of BS or RAL colours.

  We also offer a full installation, refurbishment and maintenance service; we can take the headache of dealing with several subcontractors and suppliers.

  We ensure continuity on site and provide on-going maintenance to ensure the scheme’s longevity and appearance.

   

  

• Coffin Bollards / Anti-Ram Raid Bollard Systems

  CIS Street Furniture has supplied a unique ram raid bollard system, type 194RR, to several military bases across the UK.

  When not in use this unique anti ram bollard sits in a box set below ground level. With a simple lift and drop movement the bollard is locked in a vertical position providing full anti ram resistance and giving the ultimate in security.

  CIS Street Furniture also offers a wide range of fixed cast iron anti ram bollards by strengthening the cast iron with the addition of a steel core to the inner section of the bollard. Steel and composite bollards can also be formed into anti ram by using a 10mm thick wall to provide ram raid control. At 10mm wall thickness the bollard will absorb a 30 tonne spot impact (subject to suitable foundation details). This give a range of styles available to suit the scheme’s design brief.

  Also available are a range of telescopic bollards that are most inconspicuous, hidden below ground level. When extended, a high security key operation locks the bollard in the upright position to give outright ram raid control.

   

  

• Concrete Planters for Airports

  CIS Street Furniture was called to assist Westfield Shopping Centre, Derby, in increasing its anti terrorist measures.

  Robust Darley polished concrete planters were chosen to enhance security at various entrances giving a robust but aesthetically pleasing high security solution to terrorist threats.

  The planters weigh 2 tonnes each before filling with soil, 4 tonnes after filling with compacted soil.

  The 820 planters are available in a variety of colours and finishes and dimensions can be tailored to suit your requirements.
