Nordic Dino - Aircraft exterior cleaning robot

World‘s Leading Aircraft Washing Solutions

Since 1983, Nordic Dino has been the world’s leading producer of self-contained robots for automatic aircraft washing and aircraft cleaning services. In that time, we have helped to keep both commercial and military aircraft fleets in pristine exterior condition and now produce several versions of the aircraft exterior cleaning robot, available in either electric or diesel versions. This attention to an aircraft’s appearance is more than mere aesthetics and functions as a means of improving the appearance of the fleet, reducing fuel consumption, and lessening the environmental impact.

Aviator Robotics AB, employ a dedicated team of specialists and experts who oversee the Dino robot’s manufacture and development at a modern hi-tech facility in Vallentuna, Sweden. Their constant aim is to further develop robotic aircraft washers to match pace with the ever-changing world of aircraft design.

We have already built and consolidated an international reputation as a safe and trusted partner to all those involved in aircraft cleaning and maintenance.

Aviator Robotics is a family member of Avia Solutions Group, a leading global aerospace services group with almost 100 offices and production stations providing aviation services and solutions worldwide. Avia Solutions Group unites a team of more than 7000 professionals, providing state-of-the-art solutions to the aviation industry and beyond.

Why Nordic Dino?
A clean aircraft projects a picture of efficiency, safety and success. There are many benefits of a clean aircraft such as lower fuel consumption, extended paint life and fewer corrosion issues.

Why do you need a clean aircraft?
A clean aircraft exterior projects a picture of efficiency, safety, and success while promoting confidence in the aircraft and the airline. Aircraft manufacturers recommend that an aircraft should be washed on a 60- to 90-day interval basis.

However, the main advantages of having a clean aircraft concern safety, lower fuel consumption, extended paint life, fewer corrosion issues, and environmental sustainability.

Benefits of a clean aircraft include:
  • Lower fuel consumption – environmental sustainability
  • Extended paint life
  • Fewer corrosion issues
  • Reduced man-hours
  • Improved aircraft availability
  • Fuel savings due to lower aerodynamic drag
  • Reduced usage of water and aircraft cleaning products
  • Improved health and safety environment

Every Nordic Dino airplane cleaning robot is a computerized and self-contained system, purpose-built for washing and cleaning aircraft exteriors. The system consists of a mobile power unit, spray nozzles, and rotating cleaning brushes. A lightweight and wireless remote-control device permits simple and safe one-man operation of the power unit and the cleaning brushes.

Nordic Dino robots meet all of the requirements for washing aircraft exteriors while incorporating safety features designed to prevent accidental personal injury or aircraft damage.
