The AVD 9L Lithium-Ion Fire Extinguisher is designed for enhanced response capability in aviation environments where elevated lithium-ion battery risks are present across terminal operations, maintenance zones, and high-density passenger areas.
Building on the same proven AVD technology, the 9L unit provides extended discharge capacity, making it suitable for larger or more complex battery fire incidents where sustained application is required.
Utilising Aqueous Vermiculite Dispersion, the extinguisher delivers:
- Rapid cooling to halt thermal runaway
- A protective vermiculite layer to isolate oxygen and prevent re-ignition
The AVD 9L has been:
- UL-tested for lithium-ion fire performance
- Validated through Emirates Safety Laboratory testing
- Supported by recognised international certifications for aviation and industrial safety
