Our core technology, Aqueous Vermiculite Dispersion (AVD), is deployed through a range of handheld and mobile fire extinguishers. When applied, the AVD agent forms a heat-resistant, oxygen-blocking barrier over the battery surface, rapidly cooling the cells and preventing thermal runaway propagation and re-ignition. This approach represents a critical advancement beyond traditional fire suppression methods, which are often ineffective against lithium-ion battery chemistry.

In addition to extinguishers, AVD Fire manufactures lithium-ion fire containment blankets engineered for electric vehicles (EVs), ground support equipment, and battery storage risks. These blankets are designed to isolate incidents, contain toxic gases, and prevent fire spread across high-density operational environments such as airport aprons, terminals, and maintenance zones.
