Bart Smolders appointed Chief Infrastructure Officer at Schiphol

As of 1 April, Bart Smolders (51) will join the Executive Committee of Royal Schiphol Group as Chief Infrastructure Officer. In this role, he will be responsible for all construction and maintenance activities at the airport. Bart Smolders is currently Managing Director Infra at Heijmans. He succeeds Sybren Hahn.

Smolders has extensive experience in the infrastructure sector. At Heijmans, he is responsible for all infrastructure projects. Prior to that, he led the mobility division of technology company Siemens. He also spent nearly ten years at ProRail, where he was responsible for overall asset management and the maintenance of the rail infrastructure.
