On March 19, 2024, Boryspil International Airport and Mastercard, a global technology company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation. The Memorandum aims to expand and strengthen the partnership between the two entities to create conditions for the development and provision of high-quality services for airport passengers.

The Memorandum outlines long-term cooperation goals between Boryspil Airport and Mastercard, focusing on improving passenger services to meet modern standards, implementing digital processes to create a seamless travel experience tailored to the needs of contemporary travelers, and introducing new services for passengers.

During a visit to the airport, Mastercard representatives acquainted themselves with its current state and held discussions with airport management about future projects. Once flight operations resume in Ukraine, as soon as the security situation allows, both parties also plan to enhance their collaboration by introducing inclusive solutions at the airport, such as special lines for veterans and individuals with disabilities, as well as other amenities in line with the best practices for creating barrier-free spaces.

“Mastercard is our reliable partner, and we are already planning for the future once airport operations resume, once the safety situation allows. Our long-standing cooperation with Mastercard is an example of excellent partnership that enables us to continually evolve and improve our services for passengers. The signed memorandum and further cooperation will not only contribute to Boryspil Airport’s status as a safe and technologically advanced facility but will also reinforce our position as a leading provider of top-level passenger services, ensuring competitiveness in the aviation transport market,” noted Oleksiy Dubrevsky, CEO of Boryspil International Airport.

Mastercard has been a long-standing partner of Boryspil Airport, collaborating on numerous joint initiatives aimed at enhancing the passenger experience at the airport. These include the services like Fast Line, a dedicated corridor for aviation security and passport control, as well as the creation of comfortable and barrier-free waiting areas and business lounges, among others.

“We are proud of our long-standing partnership with Boryspil International Airport, which undoubtedly serves as the ‘air gateway’ to the country. The initiatives we’ve already implemented underscore our shared goal – to create a comfortable and barrier-free experience for travelers. We deeply appreciate the efforts of the airport team in supporting its state and operations, and we look forward to the full resumption of airport operations once the security situation in the country allows. Through this memorandum, we reaffirm our commitment to long-term cooperation aimed at enhancing the airport’s guest experience through the implementation of technological, inclusive, and innovative solutions,” emphasized Inga Andreieva, General Manager of Mastercard in Ukraine and Moldova.

Boryspil International Airport continues to work towards swift recovery in the future, with infrastructure maintenance and staff trainings being the main areas of focus at present. Along with that, the airport strives to remain up to date with industry trends, particularly in passenger service, and expand collaboration with global brands.
