Budapest Airport grows Türkiye capacity with Wizz Air’s Ankara addition

Budapest Airport welcomes Wizz Air’s new service to Ankara, expanding the gateway’s Turkish network alongside Antalya, Istanbul, and Izmir – reaching over 300k seats in 2026.

Budapest Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, welcomes the launch Wizz Air’s new link between the capitals of Hungary and Türkiye, the first ever scheduled air link between the two cities, operating three times weekly, utilising the carrier’s Airbus A321neo. With over 10,000 connecting passengers each year and more than 30% of the passengers with business travel purpose, the new air service further strengthens business and cultural ties between the two countries.

The Ankara route joins Wizz Air’s existing services to Istanbul and Antalya, complementing Budapest Airport’s broader Turkish network.
