Wizz Air will launch a brand new route from Budapest to Turin on 28 October 2025 at the beginning of the winter season. The year-round service will be operated 3 times weekly.
Budapest Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, is delighted to announce the re-launch of the non-stop air service connecting Budapest and Turin after a three-year hiatus. The year-round route will begin on 28 October 2025, coinciding with the start of the winter season (W25). Wizz Air will be the sole carrier operating this strategically important connection, offering three weekly frequencies – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays – using its modern Airbus A321neo aircraft.
This new route is expected to generate strong demand in both directions. Budapest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its rich history, beautiful landscapes and stunning architecture, is a top destination for cultural and leisure tourism. Turin, meanwhile, is a major business and cultural hub, also home to UNESCO-listed landmarks such as the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy. Its proximity to the Italian Alps also makes it a gateway to numerous ski resorts – sure to attract Hungarian skiers and make it a popular route in both directions.
Markus Klaushofer, CCO, Budapest Airport commented: “We are thrilled to welcome another brand-new service from our close partner Wizz Air, after commencing a handful of new routes in 2025 already, such as Bilbao and Vilnius. This new route to Turin strengthens our diverse network with niche European cities and thanks to the mid-day operation it enables further growth in the off-peak periods at BUD. We are confident it will be another success story in our growing network in W25 as our travellers can already select from 3 new destinations, including Nantes, Bordeaux and Newcastle.”
