Changi Airport and Jewel unveil spectacular displays, enhanced passenger services, and festive experiences

Kick off the Year of the Horse with a stable of festive offerings at Changi Airport (Changi) and Jewel Changi Airport (Jewel)! The celebrations are headlined by mythical animatronic horses at Jewel and intricate horticultural displays across Changi’s terminals, creating the picture-perfect backdrop for families and friends. This year, visitors can also soak in the festive atmosphere at the first-ever Lunar New Year bazaar and enjoy an array of dining and shopping specials.

In celebration of the 2026 zodiac, a pair of mythical horses take centre stage with a floral arch at Jewel’s Forest Valley. Brought to life through advanced animatronics, the horses feature lifelike movements, creating a dynamic display that moves in harmony with larger-than-life kinetic floral elements.

From now till 3 March, visit the Petal Garden in Jewel’s Canopy Park (Level 5) to see its transformation into a colourful landscape of blooming cherry blossoms and other flowers, perfect for guests to stroll through and take in the beauty of spring.

Visitors at Jewel can also unlock special travel perks, including S$88 off or 8% savings on STARLUX Airlines flights to Taiwan. To redeem, visitors simply need to scan the QR codes on greeting cards nestled among lush Kumquat plants lining Jewel’s Level 2 main entrance, as well as the Level 3 link bridge entrances connecting to Terminals 2 and 3.

Changi will usher in springtime with eye-catching Fire Horse sculptures and horticultural displays at 10 locations across Changi’s Terminals 1, 2 and 3 (see Annex A for list of display locations), transforming the airport into a vibrant celebration of prosperity and fiery festive energy. 

These displays celebrate the auspicious themes of strength, vitality and good fortune, complemented by motifs of prosperity such as gold ingots and Chinese coins. A highlight is the popular Celosia argentea cultivars, commonly known as Plume Celosia, that will be featured prominently. Its dense, flame-shaped upright flowers in vibrant red and yellow resemble flames, symbolising prosperity and new beginnings.

To accommodate additional flights at Changi and the surge in Lunar New Year travel, Changi Lounge at Jewel (Level 1) will operate 24 hours daily from 17 February (6am) to 4 March (10pm). During this period, the lounge will elevate its dining offerings with a bountiful buffet of festive Asian delicacies for all lounge guests.

The Jewel Rain Vortex will also extend its operating hours by two hours until 12am from 1 February to 3 March, allowing more visitors to experience the breathtaking beauty of the iconic indoor waterfall. The Light & Music Showcase will continue nightly at 8pm and 9pm, with an extra show at 10pm from Friday to Sunday, on the eve of and during Public Holidays.ntinue nightly at 8pm and 9pm, with an extra show at 10pm from Friday to Sunday, on the eve of and during Public Holidays.

Check out the Lunar New Year-themed bazaar at Cloud9 Piazza in Jewel (Level 5), where local businesses gallop into the festivities with booths offering Lunar New Year-themed crafts, decorative items and plants.

Over the weekend, visitors can also look forward to workshops such as batik printing, floral arrangement and pressed flower art, with prices starting from S$10 per participant (see Annex B for more details). Interested individuals are required to register online, with walk-ins subject to availability. All workshop slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Adding to the festive activities, on 7 and 8 February from 1pm to 3pm, visitors who make a purchase at Changi Airport Group’s ‘HUATticulture’ plant booth will have the opportunity to participate in a guided session to interact with miniature therapy horses and learn about their calming effects. Please note that this interaction is subject to limited availability and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
