Date 05.02.2024

As travelers’ first look at Las Vegas, the team at Harry Reid International Airport is excited to serve football fans coming to town for the first Super Bowl in Southern Nevada’s history.

As fans arrive in the days leading up to the big game, it is best to plan ahead.

• Save time and ask your hotel if check-in is available at the airport baggage claim.
• Allow extra travel time to the airport as rideshares and taxis will be in high demand.
• Make rental car reservations in advance.

As soon as the Super Bowl ends, the airport will once again take center stage. The day after the game will see a record number of passengers departing LAS. Even though the airport and its partners are planning for this increased volume with extended hours and additional staffing, travelers need to be prepared for longer than usual wait times and higher volumes.

4-3-2-1: The Winning Game Plan

• 4 Hours Before Departure: Start planning your trip to the airport – look at traffic conditions and average wait times for rideshares
• 3 Hours Before Departure: Arrive at the airport! Check your bags with your airline
• 2 Hours Before Departure: Get in line at the security checkpoint – with your souvenir program in your carry-on. Be sure to take it out of the bag for screening.
• 1 Hour Before Departure: Be at the gate, ready to board

But it is not just the fans who will be arriving at the airport. LAS is working with the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee on the arrival of the AFC and NFC champions, and their families, to the biggest stage. The game starts and ends here!
