London Gatwick has welcomed Condor as the airport’s fifth new airline in less than two weeks, as the German carrier launches its first UK route with a three-daily service to Frankfurt.

Starting today (1 April 2026) from London Gatwick’s North Terminal, Condor will connect two of Europe’s key financial and cultural hubs.

The schedule offers excellent flexibility for business travellers needing same-day returns, with morning, afternoon and evening flights, while also giving leisure passengers plenty of choice for weekend escapes or visits to friends and family.

The new route strengthens London Gatwick’s short-haul network and provides seamless onward connectivity via Frankfurt – one of Europe’s busiest international gateways.

Jonny Macneal, Head of Aviation Development, London Gatwick said: “We’re delighted to welcome Condor to London Gatwick, offering passengers even greater choice with this new, frequent service to Frankfurt. Whether travelling for work, leisure or to see loved ones, the route provides fantastic flexibility and connectivity. Condor’s arrival marks yet another exciting landmark in what has been a period of significant growth for the airport.”

David Carlisle, Vice President Network Planning and Partnerships, Condor said:  “Today’s inaugural flight to London Gatwick marks another important milestone in the expansion of our European route network. London is one of Europe’s most sought-after destinations, both for business travellers and short city breaks. We are delighted to offer our guests up to three daily frequencies, providing maximum flexibility as well as convenient access to our long-haul network to Africa and Asia.”

Condor becomes London Gatwick’s fifth new airline since late March, following the recent arrivals of Jet2 , Air France , Eurowings and Animawings , with AirAsia X, Air Arabia, Beijing Capital and Pegasus all set to begin flying in coming weeks.

The additions reflect the airport’s ongoing growth and its commitment to offering passengers more choice and better connectivity across Europe and beyond.
