Pocket Bar & Bistro has now opened its doors at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. You’ll find Pocket Bar & Bistro, with its fantastic view of the runway and aircraft taking off and landing, one level up in SkyCity. The menu features traditional Swedish fare as well as popular international dishes.
During the second half of 2023,the new Marketplace will open at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, and things are also happening in other parts of the airport. In SkyCity, a number of new restaurants, bars and shops will open up during the year. One restaurant that just opened its doors is Pocket Bar & Bistro. It is located one level up in SkyCity, across from Arlanda Central Station.
Stockholm Arlanda is in the middle of a major development phase. During the summer, a new security checkpoint will open in Terminal 5, and during the year the range of shopping, food and beverage options will expand when the first of some 50 outlets open up in the new Marketplace. People’s food experience has a major effect on the overall passenger experience, so more premises will be added for restaurants and bars, which will be adapted to the passengers of today and tomorrow, with a focus on a broad range of options that will suit every budget and offer healthier food as well as food with a clear local connection.
“The range of options will satisfy all the different kinds of needs that passengers can imagine, whatever the time of day. For this space in SkyCity, we looked for a Swedish bistro that was open both day and night with good lunch options at attractive prices. The restaurant has to appeal to a broad target group and provide a quality offering – requirements that Pocket Bar & Bistro meets,” says Charlotte Ljunggren, Chief Commercial Officer at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
Food will be served all day long at Pocket Bar & Bistro. The menu consists of Swedish classics but also popular dishes with an international touch. There is also a bar section with a cosy atmosphere, for instance, for passengers or hotel guests in SkyCity.
“For a long time, we have looked forward to opening Pocket Bar & Bistro, which will be our second restaurant here at Arlanda. In the year ahead, we will open a further three restaurants at the airport – all in order to provide additional good options to people on the move – quite simply, a more decent eating experience for both passengers and employees at Arlanda,” says Michael Bühring, CEO of Nordrest, the company behind the concept.
