The airports of Lisbon in Portugal and Manaus in Brazil, both part of the VINCI Airports network, are once again connected, opening up new opportunities for European travelers to explore the region and giving Brazilians direct access to Europe. TAP Air Portugal will operate three flights per week between these two cities.
The resumption of direct flights between Manaus and Lisbon is crucial for improving connectivity in the Amazon region, where air connectivity is essential. With three weekly flights, including a stopover in Belém, this route benefits local trade and tourism. It strengthens commercial connections between Brazil and the European market, providing the Manaus free-trade zone – a hub for production and exports – with a faster access route. Thanks to this connection, Amazonnian products, particularly technological and sustainable production, now have a more agile and direct export channel, boosting the region’s economy and encouraging new investments.
