The Finnish Border Guard’s digital travel credentials testing to expand at Helsinki Airport

Company Helsinki Airport
Date 01.02.2024

The Finnish Border Guard has announced that it will expand its Digital Travel Credentials (DTC) pilot project at Helsinki Airport.

Previously, the pilot project was open to passengers travelling on Finnair flights to London, Edinburgh and Manchester. Now, the testing opportunity will be extended to Finnair passengers on a total of 22 routes. Passengers can take part in the pilot project until the end of March 2024.

Passengers in the test group of the DTC pilot project can use a separately marked border control checkpoint to pass through border control. This will make the border control process smoother. The pilot project is intended for Finnish citizens.

The DTC can be tested when travelling to these Finnair destinations and/or returning from them to Helsinki Airport:

  • Alanya
  • Bangkok
  • Dallas
  • Delhi
  • Doha
