Zurich Airport Ltd. launches new format for career choice

The new event series «Take a seat for your future» will begin at the airport in February. It is aimed at people who are looking for an apprenticeship. Monthly information events provide practical insights into the dynamic working environment, offering a wide range of apprenticeship and career opportunities.

Zurich Airport Ltd. employs around 2000 people in over 70 professional groups. This makes the operator of Switzerland’s largest airport an important employer in the region.

Information events with live Q&A sessions

The monthly «Take a seat for your future» events are organized by the company’s current apprentices. They report on their everyday working lives, share personal experiences and are available to answer questions. Participants not only learn more about their potential dream job, but also receive useful application tips.

Diverse training paths for individual career opportunities

The company offers a broad range of apprenticeships and training opportunities that open up tailor-made career paths: with two-, three- and four-year training models, pre-apprenticeships for integration and options for adult education, there is a suitable training path for everyone. A total of thirteen apprenticeships are available in the areas of administration, IT, operations and maintenance.

The apprentices benefit from practical and varied training with regular department changes, exciting projects and events such as the apprentice camp. The close supervision of dedicated vocational and practical trainers as well as targeted exam preparation ensures that they are optimally prepared for successfully completing their apprenticeship. There are also opportunities for continued employment in the company after the apprenticeship.

Important information at a glance

The events take place in the visitor room on the Observation Deck B (Check-in 2) at Zurich Airport. Parents accompanying children and school classes with their teachers are also invited to attend the events. Participation is free of charge. Registration is required.
