The Aviation Lights Intelligent Maintenance System (ALIMS) is an innovative and patented solution developed by SYAviation for the safe maintenance of airport approach lighting systems installed on elevated structures.
Conventional maintenance of high approach lighting towers requires personnel to climb tall structures and work at height, resulting in significant safety risks, high labor costs, and reduced maintenance efficiency. ALIMS addresses these challenges by enabling approach lights and frangible masts to be automatically lowered to ground level or maintenance platforms for inspection and servicing.
The system integrates intelligent lifting, folding, and control technologies, allowing all maintenance operations to be completed safely and efficiently without working at height. ALIMS is available in multiple configurations, including Rotatable Support ALIMS, Integrated ALIMS, and Auxiliary ALIMS, covering approach lighting installations from low to ultra-high structures.
Featuring automatic and manual operating modes, a touchscreen human-machine interface (HMI), and multiple safety protection mechanisms, ALIMS ensures reliable operation under various environmental conditions, including mountainous, high-altitude, and severe weather environments.
As the inventor and sole patent owner of ALIMS in China, SYAviation has successfully deployed the system at numerous airports.
