Boarding passes

SATO supplies high-quality boarding passes for airlines, airports and ground handling companies, with production tailored to different printing systems, operational requirements and branding needs.

Our standard boarding pass material is 175 gsm board, while other grammages, material specifications and standards can be supplied according to customer requirements. Boarding passes can be produced in different dimensions and formats, with or without an optical sensor hole, depending on the printer and processing system used.

Products can be supplied pre-printed or without print, with different layouts, colors, branding elements and technical configurations. Both the front and reverse sides can be customized, providing airlines and airports with additional flexibility for branding, passenger information, advertising and promotional content.

With conventional printing, we can offer up to nine different designs within the same production run. These designs can be applied to the front, reverse side or both, making it possible to combine different airline products, service classes, campaigns or advertising messages within a single order.

Digital printing provides even greater flexibility, allowing an effectively unlimited number of designs and variations. Different designs can be distributed throughout the production quantity according to a predefined sequence or customer requirement, making digital production particularly suitable for frequently changing campaigns, multiple airline products or highly customized applications.

Where technically and commercially feasible, quantities of different boarding pass designs can also be combined into a single production order. For example, quantities required for Business Class and Economy Class boarding passes can be consolidated, helping customers achieve a more optimal overall production quantity and more favorable production conditions without having to order unnecessarily large quantities of each individual design.

Boarding passes can be supplied fan-folded in boxes or on rolls, depending on the customer’s equipment and operational preferences. Roll dimensions, quantities per roll, folding configuration and packaging can be adapted to individual requirements.

SATO supports both regular high-volume supply programs and smaller or more flexible order quantities. Segmented deliveries can also be arranged, allowing customers to reduce warehouse requirements and avoid unnecessary stock accumulation while maintaining reliable availability of operational materials.
