AIRFIELD LIGHTING POWER SOLUTIONS

Micro range of Constant Current Regulators (CCRs) are recognised as one of the most advanced products on the market.

The Micro 100 Constant current regulator is a microprocessor controlled unit integrating the use of a high speed control loop. The control electronics drive two power thyristors providing phase angle control to the series circuit. These units can be controlled by the AGL control system using various methods. In this era of new technologies, communication via Profibus, JBUS, Ethernet TCI/IP can be used, but the units are also available with standard hard wired control.

The Micro 200 CCR, employs an IGBT H bridge, and is specifically designed to provide a sinusoidal wave shape to AGL lighting circuit which may contain both LED and conventional lighting fixtures. This Constant Current Regulator is fitted with sophisticated electronics that monitor and adjust the output waveform many times per second to produce the sinusoidal output. This leads to superior responses when the circuit load changes due to circuit switching. It also provides improved protection against overcurrent or open circuit fault conditions and it also delivers a superior power factors without compromising on harmonic content.

On both types of CCR’s a substantial amount of information can be seen without the need of a laptop or other device, thanks to the front mounted displays.

The Micro 100 and Micro200 are fully compliant with all international standards including:

  • FAA AC 150/5345-10F
  • UK CAP 168
  • ICAO Aerodrome Design Manual Part 5
  • IEC 61822
