iPort W&B

iPort W&B or iPort Weight & Balance is a web-based application for load planning and loadsheet creation, used by hundreds of airlines, handling agents and CLCs worldwide. It is delivered as a turn-key solution whereby Res2, the creator of iPort W&B, takes care of the implementation and configuration of the system. This allows the customer to manage the system in-house with minimal overhead. There is a 24/7 support office that manages the centralized AHM database and that delivers qualitative and fast responses.

Thanks to click & drop load planning and a clear overview of the data and usage flow, the system is extremely user friendly. It has built-in safety restrictions such as prohibited loading combinations, weight exceedance and more. Furthermore, an ideal trim zone can be displayed to optimize fuel burn.

There are multiple automated ways to import passenger & baggage data, and the manual input is very easy as well. A preliminary NOTOC and loadsheet can be created and departure messaging can be pre-configured to teletype, e-mail or ACARS. The load instruction report and loadsheet can have pre-defined customized information to fit the operations of a specific carrier.

iPort W&B comes with a Ramp Control app, which can run on any handheld device. This allows the ramp agent to communicate with the load controller, whether the latter is in a remote office at the airport or in a CLC. All communication is logged in an audit trail, together with the major events of the flight such as load plan finalization, flight status changes, loadsheet timestamp and more.

The system is updated every 3 weeks with new functionality. The deployment of the new version is done remotely without any effort or investment required from the airline customer.
