TYPE TER/TRD Floor Access Doors enable architects, designers and building professionals to provide concealed access through the floor in areas with decorative flooring materials. The pan-type cover accepts a wide variety of architectural flooring materials (up to 25mm thick), allowing the doors to be used in virtually any application. Whether it’s ceramic tile, hardwood, or even granite, each TER door is precisely engineered with lift assistance to enable safe, easy, one-hand operation.

Available in a number of standard single leaf (TYPE TER) and double leaf (TYPE TRD) sizes. Special sizes can be specified for bespoke access requirements.

MATERIAL 1/4″ (6mm) Aluminium cover and extruded Aluminium frame
COVER Smooth plate reinforced for 150psf (732 kg/m²) live load. Cover designed with 1″ (25mm) fillable pan for field installation of architectural flooring material (specify flooring material including type, thickness, and weight).
FRAME Extruded Aluminium frame with built-in anchor flange around the perimeter.
HINGES Continuous heavy-duty Stainless Steel Type 316 hinge.
LATCH Stainless Steel Type 316 slam lock with fixed interior handle and removable exterior turn/lift handle. Latch release is protected by a flush, gasketed, removable screw plug.
LIFT ASSISTANCE Compression spring operators enclosed in telescopic tubes. Automatic hold-open arm with grip handle release.
FINISH Mill finish Aluminium with a bituminous coating applied to the exterior of the frame.
HARDWARE Engineered composite compression spring tubes and steel compression springs packed in grease. Stainless Steel Type 316 hinges. All other hardware is zinc plated/chromate sealed.
