Fraport BVD introduces INFORM IT Solution to locate and track ground support equipment

The signing of the contract for GS (GroundStar) GroundFleet end of last year was the result of a commercial and financial analysis. Within less than three months after the successful implementation of GS GroundFleet, Fraport already confirms a lucrative ROI.

GS GroundFleet is being implemented to locate and track the status of about 70 ground power units and 120 high loaders at Frankfurt Airport. Savings were expected mainly by reducing equipment as a result of immediate locating, reduction of unnecessary run- times and lower maintenance expenses by capturing GSE run-time hours and real-time equipment status information.
