A-CDM and Optimisation of Airport Processes and Terminal Resources

Germany’s third largest airport, Düsseldorf, has successfully taken live its A-CDM concept and decision support solution and is now connected to the EUROCONTROL Network Manager (NMOC).

At the newly established Airport Control Center (ACC) all aircraft turnaround processes are monitored, from take-off from the previous airport to departure from Düsseldorf Airport. INFORM was asked to design, specify and integrate the detailed functional and system landscape needed and to integrate all the necessary A-CDM components into its AODB in use at Düsseldorf Airport and applied its proven GroundStar application update and warning mechanisms. The company also developed a web interface to enter the TOBT, which has been made available to the airport’s customers the airlines or the designated ground handlers
