Established in 1996, TEX ATC LTD – a subsidiary of Tex Holdings plc – specialize in air traffic control room design, manufacture and installation. Projects include air traffic control rooms for major international airports, regional airports and military air bases. TEX ATC supply Air Traffic Control Rooms, either to bespoke requirements, or the MV8 series modular (prefabricated) Visual Control Rooms. TEX ATC also specialise in ATCR refurbishment and upgrade, replacement ATCR glazing and solar blinds.

Tex Special Projects division – also a subsidiary of Tex Holdings – undertake research and development for leading edge engineering consultancies. Projects include radio frequency-blocking glazing for both civilian and military applications and the flying control rooms (FLYCO) for the Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers. In recognition for their contribution to technological advances in glazing for the maritime environment, Tex Special Projects were awarded the BAE Systems Bronze Design Award.

    TEX ATC are world-renowned air traffic control room designers, specialising in manufacturing and project managing the installation of bespoke steel structures and glazing. In addition, TEX ATC supply standard models including the MV8 Series CAA/FAA-compliant prefabricated air traffic control room range, undertake air traffic control room (ATCR), visual control room (VCR) and flying control room refurbishment and glass replacement.

    The majority of VCRs are specialised and bespoke, and the TEX ATC team of highly experienced technical consultants, designers and engineers develop all our projects in-house using advanced CAD software and produce stunning photo-realistic presentations and detailed drawings. Through vast experience, knowledge of material applications and continual research and development, TEX ATC provide value engineered VCRs and optimised operational environments.

    Air traffic control room structural steel and cladding systems are test-assembled, quality controlled and certified, and the glazing technology is tailored to varying environmental challenges and client requirements. All components are manufactured and finished to the highest standards for maximum strength, longevity and aesthetics, and the complete air traffic control room is expertly installed by TEX ATC project managers.

  • Modular (Prefabricated) Air Traffic Control Rooms

    Designed by TEX ATC Division, a supplier of air traffic visual control rooms (VCRs) and bespoke structural, engineering and glazing solutions for military and civilian applications, the MV8 series air traffic control room benefits from more than 20 years’ design and manufacturing expertise.     The MV8 series are modular air traffic control rooms, designed by TEX ATC and manufactured and supplied worldwide for rapid installation. TEX ATC Project Managers may be employed to manage the installation or a kit-only option is available. MV8s are supplied with detailed installation instructions and bolted construction is used throughout with no site welding required.

    Combining the latest architectural concepts and standards, the MV8 series specification meets or exceeds all relevant British Standards, outperforms many bespoke designs and offers a comfortable, functional, safe and stylish working environment.

    All components have been specified to withstand extreme environmental conditions and therefore the MV8 series is not only universal for many locations but also extremely durable.

  • Tex Special Projects

    Tex Special Projects, a subsidiary of Tex Holdings, undertake research and development for leading edge engineering consultancies. Projects include radio frequency-blocking glazing for both civilian and military applications and the flying control rooms (FLYCO) for the Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers and windows and ancillaries for India’s first home-built carrier, INS Vikrant (“courageous”), also known as Indigenous Aircraft Carrier 1 (IAC-1).
