The PAR is a Universal Certified Remote Control Solution designed and developed by Dimaim Systems for all type of Passenger Boarding Bridges, independent of the PBB manufacturer or type, that enables a remote operator to safely manoeuvre each PBB for a complete docking / undocking operation, with the aim of reducing costs, accidents and optimizing turnaround times for the Airport.

It provides the Airport with a unique solution not only independent of the PBB OEM, but most important, its integration with the PBB does not modify or alter in any way its original software or hardware, meaning that the Airport does not need to invest in a PBB retrofit to incorporate our Remote Control Solution. Besides, this universality also positively impacts in the fast integrability of the PAR, allowing our solution to be fully installed in a week’s time, thus facilitating a correct schedule with Airport Operations.

The remote operation comprises the total PBB movement, including full docking manoeuvre from the parking position to the ultimate contact with the aircraft, and full undocking movement from the docked aircraft back to the parking position. Our solution includes certain autonomous / automatic functionalities aimed at having a final full remote and automatic solution available for all customers.

The PAR  consists off a combination of a Monitoring System, allowing for the selection and verification of all PBBs at the Airport, together with a Remote Control Position that allows a certified operator to proceed with all remote operations from a centralized location, and a Flight Selection application, that automatically manages and allocates all remote operated flights. All this set-up is specifically adapted to the IT regulations at every Airport, ensuring our full compliance.

With one single remote control position all PBBs at the airport can be monitored and controlled, allowing for the operator to switch from one stand to another with just a click of the mouse. This greatly reduces waiting time, apron accidents involving transfer vehicles, staff movement around aircrafts and an overall CO2 emissions reduction due to less vehicles required.

Airports greatly benefit for all the positive effects of deploying our Remote Control Solution, and we are proud of having the PAR already successfully implemented and put into operation in different European Airports, with the objective of preparing a roll-out solution, which will make these Airports the first in fully remotely operating all flights.
