Baggage Reconciliation System

Description

The “Baggage Reconciliation System” (BRS) is a module which controls almost all baggage procedures after connecting the baggage to its owner. The BRS module is used for automated tracking of passenger baggage from the moment the passenger checked in at the checkpoint counter until both the passenger and baggage are loaded on the plane.

It also overviews all flights, as well as the baggage for the specific flight. It includes scanning of incoming and outgoing baggage via hand scanner, offload of baggage if passenger is offloaded and data exchange between NAIS application and external “Baggage Handling System” (BHS) system. Furthermore passengers, that performed a Self Check-in, can drop their luggage via “Self baggage drop-off” (SBD).
