Departure Control System

Description

“Departure Control System (DCS)” covers all aspects of passenger, baggage and aircraft handling. DCS handles various passenger, baggage and aircraft operations, including check-in, printing boarding cards, baggage acceptance, boarding, load control and aircraft checks. DCS includes the following modules: Flight Preparation, Check-in, Bodycheck and Boarding.

“Flight Preparation” handles various tasks. It deals with the preparation of aircrafts with all incoming data like PNL messages, classes and seat configuration, as well as the check-in preparation, loading of the passengers based on SITA messages (PNL), seat reservations and flight classes.

Check-In module is responsible for passenger check-in on predefined layout of the aircraft and prepared to fly.

Supports 3 different types:

  • Web Check-in (desktop & mobile))
  • Self Check-in (Passenger uses terminal in airport hall)
  • Counter Check-in (Check-in officer)

The DCS-Bodycheck component is used to control passengers when passing in the “Clean” zone and before the X-ray check performed by the police. The need for this component arose at the time of the appearance of passengers who can check in at the “Self Check-in” at the kiosk or at the “WEB check-in” at home. In both cases, if a passenger doesn’t have luggage, he can come directly to “GATE”.

The DCS-Boarding component is responsible for record and control passengers when passing through the “Gate” ie. their boarding. The moment of passing through the Gate is also the moment in which we say that the passenger is in the plane, ie “ONBOARD”. It is important to emphasize that this is also a place to reconnect data about the passenger and his luggage with which he parted during check-in.
