Key Benefits

  • Designed for installation of in-pavement AGL light bases in rigid and flexible airside pavements
  • Biobased epoxy binder (≥18% biobased carbon)
  • Reduced CO₂ footprint of AGL installations compared with conventional epoxy grouts
  • Developed based on an epoxy grout system compliant with FAA AC 150/5370-10 Item P-606
  • Easy-to-pour 2-component system for reliable installation
  • Suitable for damp substrates (rigid and flexible pavements) within specified limits
  • Electrically insulating and chemically resistant to aviation fuels and de-icing agents
  • Climate-specific hardeners for reliable curing in different temperature ranges

cds-AGL BaseGrout UW eco is a two-component epoxy grout developed for the installation of in-pavement Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) bases in concrete (rigid) and asphalt (flexible) airside pavements.

The grout delivers comparable mechanical performance and durability as the FAA-compliant cds-AGL BaseGrout UW, while incorporating a biobased epoxy binder (≥18% biobased carbon) to reduce the CO₂ footprint of AGL installations.

The easy-to-pour, mineral-filled epoxy creates a durable and stable connection between the AGL light base and the surrounding core-drilled hole. This ensures stable installation of inset runway, taxiway and apron lighting systems under demanding airside operating conditions.

Designed for use on runways, taxiways and aprons, cds-AGL BaseGrout UW eco withstands heavy aircraft loads, aviation fuels, de-icing chemicals and thermal movement while maintaining long-term dimensional stability.

Climate-specific hardeners allow curing behaviour to be adapted to ambient temperature and available runway closure windows, enabling efficient installation even during limited possession times.

cds-AGL BaseGrout UW eco is chemically resistant, electrically insulating and suitable for application on damp substrates (rigid and flexible pavements) within specified limits.

The product is available in grey or black and forms part of the cds-AGL eco product range, which includes cds-AGL BaseGrout UW eco and cds-AGL SlotRestore eco product range for more sustainable airfield lighting installations.

Regular variants include cds-AGL BaseGrout UW and cds-AGL BaseGrout rapid for projects requiring accelerated curing times. For the installation and maintenance of AGL cable infrastructure, cds-AGL SlotRestore systems are available for filling cable slots in airside pavements.

Formerly marketed as cds-Pouring Concrete UW eco.
