VCCS (Voice Communications Control Systems)

Description
Specifications

Copperchase supplies a complete range of VCCS (Voice Communications Control Systems) for air traffic control, from the TCS990 digital ATC voice switch to the compact SVS995 small voice switch and the CRU995 ED-137 gateway. Together they give airports and air navigation service providers reliable radio and telephone communications, and a flexible path from analogue to IP and ED-137 VoIP.

TCS990 digital voice switch. Designed for air traffic controllers who manage critical situations around the clock, the TCS990 VCCS builds on more than twenty years of voice switch experience. Its hybrid analogue and IP design supports external IP networks, telecom networks, remote line interfaces and a variety of controller working positions (CWPs), scaling to 250 nodes across radio, telephone and CWP. A real-time operating system keeps voice delay to a minimum. Dual power (220/240 VAC and 12/24 VDC in any combination) protects against power failure, and a maximum consumption of 250 W keeps heat output low. The CMSpro Content Management System makes installation, configuration, control and maintenance straightforward.

SVS995 small voice switch. For smaller airfields and standalone positions, the SVS995 is a compact four-channel VCCS and radio controller with a 2.4-inch capacitive touch screen. It controls up to four radios, whether analogue, IP-connected ED-137 or any mix of the two, with a built-in loudspeaker and gooseneck microphone, an optional headset connection and a footswitch PTT. Two Ethernet ports support Power over Ethernet (PoE), so a single cable connects and powers the console for ED-137 radios, with redundant PoE or a 12 VDC input for resilience. The SVS995 is backward compatible with the TCS990 series.

CRU995 ED-137 gateway. The CRU995 extends the life of existing radio equipment during ED-137 migration. This four-channel gateway connects standard 4-wire E&M transmitters, receivers and transceivers to IP/VoIP networks, so existing analogue radios can work with ED-137 VCCS and voice switches, and ED-137 radios can link to existing analogue systems. It supports SIP telephony, redundant Ethernet, web-based configuration and SNMP monitoring, and uses a maximum of 2.5 W.

From a single four-radio console to a complete tower voice switch, Copperchase’s VCCS (Voice Communications Control Systems) deliver dependable ATC voice communications and a cost-effective route to ED-137, backed by Copperchase installation, support and maintenance.
